What are MEMS? Microelectromechanical Systems are miniature,
multifunctional, microsystems consisting of sensors, actuators, and
electronics which are built using micromachining technologies.
Micromachining: it is an enabling technology that allows the
formation of physical, as well as electronic devices using many of the
IC fabrication techniques.
